I always suggest mothers pick their outfits first and then coordinate the rest of the family next. Don’t be afraid of texture and patterns but make sure as you can see in the inspiration board the patterns are subtle. You want low contrast patterns that blend very easily and aren’t distracting.

When planning your outfit for a maternity session don’t limit yourself to maternity dresses look for dresses that has a smocked bodice or elastic waste and just size up. More important than anything is that you are comfortable and feel beautiful! It translates through the camera when you feel good.
